So, is the 500 your favourite lens? Terrific work Sue. Is it possible to get in the loop on bird sightings? From our discussion at Yosemite Night and these great shots, it sounds like you must have at least one informant on where the avian action is.
Yes, my favorite lens to use is the Tamron 200-500 lens and for the most part, it is on a tripod.
As for places to go, I use many areas around London, the Pinery, Long Point and Rondeau to name a few. It all depends on the time of year. Perhaps, I should try posting various areas that might be worthwhile to visit throughout the seasons.

some people are good at a certain type of photography, i can see that you are good at all types telephoto, macro waterfalls, amazing sue!
