Fall (blah) colours

Hello Sue,

the most common cause of dull colors is the color balance that may have been set on "auto" on your camera. For example you may have used a preset for the white balance in this case the "shade" would have been the closest (I guess) the othe solution and best would have been to use the custon white balance on a grey card or on the "ColorBalanceCoach" target ( http://www.colorbalancecoach.com/ ). The grey card and the target are available at Stan C Reade, and I will talk about it on the night of sept 22nd in London... See Jamie or any staff at the store for details.

Keep on shooting......!

Jean-Francois.

I took this photo last fall and the colours did not come out as vivid as they were in the forest. How could I have made the colours more brilliant? Should I consider using filters, doing work in Photoshop etc? Thanks for any ideas or thoughts.

Sue
