hey Jamie,

i used a really simple technique. they were shot in a light box without the lights turned on. i used an 18-200mm lens at 2oomm. the problem with that is the shallow depth of field, so i used the smallest aperture i could. generally i shot at 1/200 shutter speed, f 18, iso 400 using my pop up flash. the water was in a shallow tray. i focused on the tac while it was just siting in the water then swithched over to manual and left the focus where it was. and i marked the bottom of the tray with pencil to know where to drop the tac. whatever the background colour was, was what the water colour turned out to be. i used my wirless remote and timed it by hand as best i could. i got the green background by adjusting the hue in photoshop.

thanks josh

Hi Josh

I love the shots, share with us a little how you did it.  Type of lighting, how did you get the different colours etc.  I'm sure everyone would love to hear.

Thanks James
