If you are having space problems, I would suggest you need to back up your older files to cd or dvd and an external drive.  the goal should be to have al our files in at least 2 different places, so 1 copy on an external drive and 1 copy on a dvd. You can then keep the dvds and the external drive in different places to further protect your  data.
