Eathquake Relief - How Photos can make a difference

Eathquake Relief - How Photos can make a difference

Posted by: James Cowie,29 May 2008 [11:20 UTC],

Sidney Siu came to me some months ago to start working on a photo charity which we will be excited to roll out later this year.  Since we started working on this porject, disaster has struck with a 7.9 magnitude earthquake in the region of small cities and towns set amid the steep hills north of Sichuan's provincial capital of Chengdu in China.

So through photographs that Sidney has shot on his March 2008 visit to China, and music, we have created a DVD that is available to purchase, showcasing the beauty of China.  All the proceeds will go to the China Earthquake Relief Fund.  We have also found out that the Canadian government will match dollar for dollar donations if the funds are donated through the Canadian Red Cross.

Thank you Sidney for coming forward with this idea, images and the project, I'm sure it will be supported very well.  DVD's can be purchased at Stan C. Reade Photo for the price of $20.00
