Sue great shots of the owl, interesting about the second eye lid.

Thanks Sue. Both owls are lovely.

Patti-The brown streaked owl that Josh posted is a northern saw-whet owl and the grayish one is the same as mine-an Eastern Screech owl. Sean's owl is also the saw-whet owl.

Great shot.

Sue, what type is the owl Josh posted?

It was a great day this past Sunday on the Stan C. Reade day trip. I could not decide what to put in but decided on the little Eastern Screech owl. It was only by sheer luck that I clicked the shutter as both inner and outer eyelids were moving. This little owl was molting and did look a bit scruffy.

Nice to see lots of great images in the images for the week.  I'm on the road with limited internet connection so my image is a little late.  I was really happy how this image turned out.  I orginally did it in colour but love the black and white. Image taken near inglis falls Owen Sound Bye from Abu Dhabi.

Thanks Victoria. You'll have a great time. Remember the bug spray. They were brutal!

The highlight of my week was successfully getting some slow water shots yesterday at Hilton Falls. It was my goal for yesterday's trip. Thanks Fiore and Doug for your expertise. The exposure was hell with the sun and long exposure but I'm pretty pleased...

That second one looks remarkably like the rare Dublin Blarney Hooter.
