Sean and James here at Rondeau Provincial Park presenting the June Newsletter during the second week of the Spring Photo Tour, from inside the Visitors Centre.

First of all congratulations to MyPhotoClub.com member Sue Southon for winning June’s photo of the month with this image she shot of this Mountain Blue Bird during our May tour to Yellowstone.  Sue has won a 16 x 24 enlargement from Stan C. Reade Photo.

Thanks to everyone that joined us on the Photo Adventure Tour to Yellowstone in May, it was a beautiful trip and I know our photography guests came home with many images.  Also thanks to those from home that tuned in each day on MyPhotoClub.com and followed the blog during the tour.  If you have not had a chance to read the blog or check out the images click on this link to see it.  Thanks also to Dave Chidley my co-host and Sean for all your help during the trip.

We will be rescheduling the canoeing event we had planned for Saturday May 30th.  Due to the heavy rains we have had over the last couple of weeks the river was running very high and fast.  We will post new dates shortly.

This months photo assignments kept members very busy, we did “Black and White”, “Spring Flowers”, and our current assignment “Black and White with a Twist of Colour” which runs to June 5th.  If you have not had a chance to view the slide shows from the assignments, click on the name of the assignments above to see the presentations.

During the month of May we presented videos on Adobe Lightroom Shortcuts, Gadget Guy on the Optex Digiscanner and using the Adobe Photoshop Healing Brush.

Thanks as always to our contributers of monthly features in the forums section, Sue Southon for her birding section, Doug Burdick for his weekly photo tips, Irene Miller who has been posting her weekly photo and poem for two years now, and our newest contributer Heather MacKenzie for her articles in “Photography from a different Angle”.  If you have not checked out the articles these folk have posted in the forums please do as there is some great photography information and members can ask questions or offer feedback on the articles.

We have a few upcoming events to mention, our annual day at the Elsie Perrin Estate - Digital Day of Discovery on Sunday July 12th, and a new event we will be holding at the Ben Miller Inn this September a weekend Photo Retreat and then follow along as we head out in October for a 14 day Photo Tour in South Africa.

That’s a wrap for the June newsletter and we look forward to seeing you online real soon.

Sean and James and all the crew @ MyPhotoClub.com.
