June Newsletter

We have changed the format of the MyPhotoClub.com newsletters, they will now come out at the first of each month instead of in the middle of the month.

Congratulations to Rob Paterson, who’s image has been selected for the June Photo of the month.  This shot was taken from Alcatraz at sunset on our Yosemite photo tour in April.  Congratulations Rob you have won 2 - 11 x14 enlargements from Stan C. Reade Photo.

I’m sure quite a few members followed the Yosemite tour, and if you did not, but want to see what it was all about, check out the home page of MyPhotoClub.com.  We posted a blog and images from both tours.  You will have to scroll down the page, as newer articles have been posted since the tour.

We have also just completed our one day annual Spring Photo Tours, and there is also images on the main page blog from Sunday May 25th trip and Sunday June 1st trip.  If you have never gone on one of these trips they are a fun day of photography.  The fall tour will take place in October and will include a train ride and a trip to a ruins.

A big thank you goes out to our good friend Sidney Siu for setting up the DVD a taste of China.  This DVD was created by Sidney and is photographs of China, taken by him on his trip there in April.  The DVD was created to help raise money for the earthquake relief fund.  The cost of the DVD is $20.00, and all money raised will be donated through the Canadian Red Cross.  The Canadian Government will match this dollar for dollar thus doubling the donation.  Sidney has been so pleased with the results and response from everyone, he is also going to match the donations dollar for dollar thus triple the amount will be donated.  If you would like to get a copy of the DVD, they are available at the counter at Stan C. Reade Photo.  Thanks again to everyone that has supported this great cause.
